Let's talk about the Holidays!

WAHOOO!! It's finally the holiday season! Let me start by wishing a happy 5th night of Hanukkah to those who celebrate. Saying this is my favorite time of the year is an understatement, and I'm sure a lot of you would agree. This time of year is magical, and there are so many things to look forward to. If you don't already know, I celebrate Hanukkah, but I still have a special place in my heart for Christmas haha!! I love seeing the lights/decorations, making gingerbread houses, watching movies ext.. Once Thanksgiving is over I finally know it's time to listen to holiday music and get in the spirit! My brother gets annoyed with me because it's all I listen to in the car;) December is the perfect time for a good snowstorm, and to cuddle up on the couch watching a movie in front of the fireplace. It's such a calming and peaceful thing to do. I love it! This week should be exciting because, in Boston, it looks like we're getting some snow! What are all of you doing for the holidays? My family usually visits our grandparents, cousins, and aunts and uncles in Florida. We would sit out at the pool, go shopping, watch movies, get yummy food, and of course spend quality time together. Sadly because of covid, we aren't able to do that:( I am excited though to watch all my favorite holiday movies! My top 3 favorites are, Elf, The Holiday, and Love Actually. If you haven't watched them I highly recommend you do! I don't know about all of you, but Ariana Grande's Christmas album will forever be my favorite, and of course Justin Biebers as well. Do your families have any holiday traditions? If so, let me know in the comments I'd love to hear how you all celebrate! Around the holiday time, in my dance classes, our teachers let us choreograph our own little dance to holiday songs. It's one of our favorite things to do, and sharing them with our classmates is always really fun and funny! My dance friends and I also always set up a secret snowflake game. As many of you may know, this is a game where you secretly select a person to buy a little gift for. This year, we have decided to not only purchase a small gift but also write a note to our person to express how thankful we are for them. Although this year has been tough, it is important to show gratitude to the people you love, therefore we thought this would be a perfect addition to our game! For me, this time of year is about spending time with your family and friends and reminiscing on the exciting things that happened in that year. Even though we are all under tricky circumstances, I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and get to spend some relaxing time with your loved ones. Hopefully, 2021 has exciting and new things in store for all of us!❄️☃️😊

xoxo Rebekah
