Reducing stress


Hey everyone! How have you all been doing? Are you caught up on my new YouTube videos!? More coming soon:) Today I thought it would be nice to talk about stress, and what you can do to reduce stress and allow yourself to relax! Personally, I am someone who gets stressed very easily. Over the years I have learned what strategies work best for me in times of stress. One thing that is super basic but super effective, is having a spa night! I love to have my spa nights on Mondays because of course, that's Bachelor night haha! Sometimes I will take a bubble bath, or even just put a face mask on. I find that doing small things throughout your day really makes an impact on your level of relaxation. What is most effective for decreasing my stress level is dancing! This will be different for everyone, but having a passion and doing something you love is by far the most helpful thing in allowing yourself to de-stress. It's a great distraction from what you have going on that day! Also hanging out with friends and family of course! Every day is a new day and a new opportunity to make it better than the day before. There are going to be stumbles along the way, but it's important to know what is going to cheer you up on a down day. As I'm sure we all know, school is a very stressful subject! Something that has really been helping me lately is stopping when I have had enough. What I mean by that is, when your brain is fried and you don't think you can work anymore, then stop. Once you have reached that point of I'm done, your work isn't going to be effective anymore, and will not benefit you in the future. This is a strategy I have been using lately and I find that it works wonders! Another thing that helps me is planning planning planning! I have talked about this on my blog before but I am a huge planner! Sometimes I just daydream and create a mental schedule for myself that day of what I need to get done! With times of course haha! Knowing exactly what and when I have to do reduces so much anxiety for me. Having a structure and a routine is super important for me in my daily life. During these unpredictable times, it is crucial to listen to your body and do what is best for you. Do what you love, eat some yummy food, and stay hydrated:) What do you do in times of stress?
